Local Activities

Scotts Haven Camping & Caravanning is placed perfectly to cater for the interests of everyone that visits us.

We are excellently situated between Portsmouth, Farehham, Southampton, Winchester and Wickham within the beautiful Hampshire countryside.

'an extensive choice'

The Forest of Bere is a mixed woodland, open space, heathland, farmland and downland. It is the nearest and most accessible countryside for many of the residents and campers of South-East Hampshire.

Together with the remaining 19th century oak and modern 20th century conifer plantations, there are areas of retained scrub and coppice, streams, ponds and an extensive network of bridleways and paths.

Standing on Soutsea Common overlooking the promenade in Portsmouth, Portsmouth Navel Memorial hosts the names of a staggering 24, 662 identified casualties from both WW1 and WW2.

The Chesapeake Mill lies in the heart of Hampshire within an extraordinary Grade II* listed building that is an exquisite representation of  a unique history. Built in 1820, it incorporates timber from the US Frigate Chesapeake; who was captured by HMS Shannon in 1813.

Today the mill offers an interesting shopping experience, a world of great style and unique treasures.

The 'Mid Hants Railway - aka The Watercress Line - is one of the most successful heritage railways that the U.K. has to offer. Starting life in October 1865 as the Alton, Alresford & Winchester Railway, it was intended to fill the gap between Alton and the main route from London to Southampton.

Today, the Watercress Line is a preserved railway and exhibits a plethora of vintage locomotives and WWII experiences.

A visit to Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard takes you on a journey through time and history, allowing you to step aboard historic ships and learn about the Royal Navy's  past, present and future.

3 ships, 3 submarines, 3 museums, 2 boat excursions and 1 adrenaline-pumping Action Stations.

Home of Lord Nelson's HMS Victory and the remains of the famous Mary Rose.
